Robinson Crusoe on Mars(Byron Haskin) 1964 ** 11/27/2015

Poorly acted, but eminently fun.  A wonderful depiction of the red planet, filled with semi-sentient fireballs, and most entertainingly, interplanetary slavers, from whom Kit Draper’s(Paul Mantee) Man Friday(Victor Lundin) escapes.

Draper crashes on the planet on a mission gone awry, burns rocks for oxygen, and saves Friday with the help of his monkey Mona.  Most entertaining in its shots of the auroras and fire.  He’s rescued in the end.
